Millions of years ago, our ancestors learned to shape stone tools for hunting and survival. In this workshop, teens will explore how early stone tools were made and why they matter. Work with Dylan Flicker, a PhD student in Archaeology, to see how striking a rock in just the right way can turn it into a useful tool. Try your hand at safely shaping and using stone tools to understand the skill, precision, and problem-solving involved in this ancient technology. **Participants attending this workshop should wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.** Teen Saturdays Workshops are offered bilingually in Spanish and English. They are designed to build community and improve the museum experience for multicultural teens. Snacks provided! The $10 fee includes free admission to all HMSC museums immediately following the workshop. [Registrarse](https://reservations.hmsc.harvard.edu/Info.aspx?EventID=9) La talla, es decir, el proceso de dar forma a la piedra mediante golpes para crear bordes afilados, es una de las tecnologías más antiguas que se conocen. Hace millones de años, nuestros antepasados aprendieron a dar forma a herramientas de piedra para cazar y sobrevivir. En este taller, los jóvenes explorarán cómo se elaboraban las primeras herramientas de piedra y por qué son importantes. Junto con Dylan Flicker, estudiante de doctorado en arqueología, verás cómo un golpe preciso sobre una piedra puede convertirla en una herramienta útil. Anímate a dar forma a herramientas de piedra y usarlas de manera segura para comprender las destrezas, la precisión y la capacidad de resolución de problemas que requiere esta antigua tecnología. ¡Sábados de Jóvenes! se ofrece tanto en español como en inglés.
