Since the 1970s, the CMHI has published monuments and inscriptions from 20 different Maya sites. An [introduction](/introduction-corpus-publication-series) to the series was published in 1975, outlining the scope and design of the publications, and a guide to the [abbreviations](/guide-abbreviations) for monument types and measurements was provided in Volume 2, Part 1 (1975, page 2:9).
